Never have a club in your bag that you’re afraid to hit.

Fear comes in two packages fear of failure, and sometimes, fear of success.

We went around and looked and talked to a lot of foundations with those charities and decided upon the Children’s Hospital. They had a golf tournament at the time, but it was a small event that didn’t raise a significant amount of money.

You still remember the bad rounds here, but they don’t stay with you as long. The Champions Tour is great, it’s competitive and it’s a wonderful show, but it’s not the real big league. The real big league is the PGA Tour, and we all know that.

A lot of the bunkering is designed more to save you than it is to penalize you.

Now the Kids Classic is one of the major fund-raisers for Children’s Hospital. Since we started seven years ago, we’ve raised more than $1 million for the hospital.

Discipline and concentration are a matter of being interested.

Give luck a chance to happen.

Golf course design is exciting.

It’s a piece of property that, if you’re going to have a development out here, you need to have a golf course because you need to take care of the effluent water being created by the development.

It’s fun to get out in the field. I really enjoy that. It’s fun creating.

You can always find a distraction if you’re looking for one.

When I woke up Sunday morning at the Open and stepped outside and felt the wind and rain in my face, I knew I had an excellent chance to win if I just took my time and trusted myself.

But I’d say that probably 70 percent of the bunkering is more to give you an idea of the direction that you want to go or to save your ball from going into worse places.

The corporate outings were fun, but after doing them for 25 years, they got to be a little old hat.
