I think it's a reflection of the music business in general, which to me seems very fragmented.

Kathy Valentine is an American musician, songwriter, and author. She is best known as the bassist and one of the founding members of the 1980s all-female rock band The Go-Go's. She co-wrote the band's most successful single, "Our Lips Are Sealed". After leaving The Go-Go's in 1984, Valentine released two solo albums before rejoining the band in 1990. She also wrote an autobiography, All I Ever Wanted: A Rock 'n' Roll Memoir, which was published in 2014. She currently plays with the band Blue Bonnets, which she formed in 2018.
