NBC is working with a team of astrophysicists to create a new day of the week.
Meaning of the quote
This quote is just a silly joke. It doesn't make sense because NBC, the TV network, can't actually create a new day of the week. Astrophysicists, who study space and stars, wouldn't be involved in adding a new day to the calendar. This is just a funny and nonsensical statement made by the Canadian comedian Dave Foley.
