Mickey Gilley is an American country music singer and musician. He is best known for his 1975 hit single, "Room Full of Roses," as well as other hits such as "Stand by Me," "Don't the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time," and "I Overlooked an Orchid." He also had a long-running residency at his nightclub, Gilley's Club, in Pasadena, Texas, which was featured in the 1980 film Urban Cowboy. Gilley has recorded a total of 39 studio albums and has charted over 50 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. He has also been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
